The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, received a consignment of protective gear donated by Signal 63 Ministries, USA, through the Fundamental Baptist Ministry International.
The handover took place at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
In his remarks, IGP Disu commended Mr. Bill Graham of Signal 63 Ministries and the facilitators, Rev. and Mrs. Philemon Sidi, for their effort to help promote officers’ welfare. He described the donation as a critical intervention aimed at enhancing the safety and operational confidence of frontline personnel.
The IGP reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to equipping officers with the necessary tools for effective service delivery, emphasising that the well-being of personnel remains a cornerstone of a more resilient and professional police force.
The donated items are expected to support officers deployed in high-risk operations, where protective equipment remains essential for safety and morale.
Signal 63 Ministries, a US-based organisation, has partnered with local faith groups to support security agencies across Africa through targeted donations. Fundamental Baptist Ministry International facilitated the current consignment to the Nigeria Police Force.
The development adds to ongoing efforts by the NPF leadership to improve logistics, welfare, and operational readiness through local and international partnerships.
