ICPC ranked 4th best MDA website in 2024/2025 federal performance scorecard

24 Dec 2025

The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has emerged fourth out of over 200 Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the 2024/2025 Federal Government Website Performance Scorecard.

The ranking was unveiled in Abuja during a public presentation organized by the Bureau of Public Service Reforms (BPSR) in collaboration with the Inter-Ministerial Task Team (IMTT).

The assessment provided a comprehensive evaluation of the functionality, compliance, and operational efficiency of government websites across the country.

Reacting to the development, the ICPC Chairman, Dr. Musa Adamu Aliyu, SAN, attributed the Commission’s high ranking to a sustained institutional commitment to information technology.

Speaking through the Commission’s Spokesperson, Mr. John Okor Odey, the Chairman noted that the agency has consistently prioritized digital transformation, having previously secured the top spot on the scorecard on two separate occasions.

Dr. Aliyu emphasized that the Commission has benefited significantly from technology-savvy leadership, which has been a driving force in its modernization efforts.

He reaffirmed the ICPC’s resolve to leverage information technology not just for compliance, but as a critical tool for enhancing transparency, accountability, and effective public service delivery.

The Chairman further commended the BPSR and other technology-focused organizations for their pivotal roles in steering the nation away from paper-based systems toward digital governance.

He pledged continued collaboration with stakeholders to ensure the safety of the national cyberspace and to build a more accountable Nigeria.

In his remarks, the Director-General of the BPSR, Dr. Dasuki Arabi, explained that the primary objective of the scorecard is to strengthen the capacity of MDAs for good governance by ensuring unrestricted public access to information.

He described the initiative as a tangible demonstration of the Federal Government’s commitment to openness and improved citizen engagement.

Dr. Arabi highlighted that in the current digital environment, functional websites are essential for information dissemination and service delivery.

He noted that the BPSR developed the standardized scorecard template to align Nigerian MDA websites with global standards, serving as a key performance indicator under the National e-Government Master Plan.

According to the BPSR Director-General, fully standardized government websites are expected to reduce unnecessary human interface, eliminate corruption in public financial transactions, and curb online scams.

He concluded by noting that the 2024/2025 results reflect significant improvements in compliance levels across the board, signaling steady progress in Nigeria’s public sector digital reforms.
