A frontline presidential aspirant on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, has boycotted the official announcement of the party’s primary election results.
In a statement released on Tuesday, the economist and politician cited widespread reports of vote rigging across the country as the reason for his absence.
Hayatu-Deen claimed to have personally witnessed some of the irregularities during the voting process.
Expressing deep concern over the integrity of the primary election, the aspirant stated that he would be consulting with his team and legal advisers to determine his next line of action.
