Hajj 2027: Kano Pilgrims Board sets Aug. 7 deadline for passport submission

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has directed all registered intending pilgrims for the 2027 Hajj to submit their valid international passports on or before Aug. 7 to facilitate travel documents.
The Director-General of the board, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim-Matawalle, gave the directive in a statement signed by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Suleiman Dederi on Tuesday in Kano.
“The submission commenced on Aug. 3 to enable the board begin documentation and other administrative processes required for the 2027 Hajj exercise.
‎”Early submission of passports is necessary to ensure timely processing of travel documents and compliance with deadline set by relevant authorities,” Ibrahim-Matawalle said.
He urged all registered intending pilgrims to submit their passports within the stipulated period to avoid delays in processing their Hajj documentation.
The director-general reaffirmed the board’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and hitch-free Hajj operation.
He appealed to pilgrims to cooperate with the board throughout the preparation process.
