The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has officially alerted the public to an unauthorized breach of its website by suspected hackers.
In a statement released on Friday, May 15, 2026, the agency confirmed that its digital infrastructure had been compromised.
NEMA disclosed that its technical team is already implementing necessary countermeasures to contain the breach, secure the platform, and restore full operations.
While rectification efforts are underway, the agency has strongly advised the general public to look at the website with extreme caution and disregard any unusual activity. This includes suspicious content, misleading information, unauthorized announcements, or fraudulent financial solicitations that may appear on the compromised platform or be shared across related digital channels.
NEMA expressed regret over any inconvenience the digital disruption may cause the public.
The agency assured citizens that it remains fully committed to resolving the issue promptly while actively strengthening the cybersecurity framework of its digital platforms to prevent future vulnerabilities.
