Niger State Governor, Mohammed Umaru Bago, paid a courtesy visit to the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, at the Force Headquarters in Abuja on Tuesday, March 10.
During the meeting, Governor Bago formally congratulated the new police chief on his recent appointment and elevation to the position of Inspector-General.
He utilized the visit to reassure the Force leadership of the Niger State government’s continued cooperation and support for police efforts to combat criminal activities across the country.
The Governor specifically commended the Nigeria Police Force for the renewed vigor shown in recent weeks, noting that these operational efforts have been instrumental in stemming the tide of insecurity within Niger State and across Nigeria.
The visit highlights the ongoing collaboration between state governments and the federal security architecture as the new IGP, Tunji Disu, continues to settle into his mandate of strengthening national security and improving police operational efficiency.
