The Governor of Ondo State, Dr. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the management board of the Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) with immediate effect.
This decision relieves the Executive Chairman of the Board, Mr. Dele Ologun, and other members of their duties.
This was contained in a statement signed by Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Ondo State, on Wednesday.
The affected persons have been directed to hand over all government properties in their possession to the accounting officer of the agency.
Governor Aiyedatiwa has approved a caretaker committee to manage Sunshine Stars Football Club.
The committee is led by Mr. Tokunbo Akinyelure as Team Manager and Welfare Officer, alongside Morris Kwaghzever, who will handle special duties. Abdul Wahab has been appointed as Kits Manager, while Elias Michael will serve as Masseur.
Other members of the caretaker committee include Adetula Olumide, who will act as Physiotherapist, Ayodeji Abe as Camp Commandant, Ademola Ayodeji as Assistant Kits Manager 1, Oria Sola as Assistant Kits Manager 2, Imisi Ayodele as Curator, and Isaac Afolabi as Media Officer.
He tasked the caretaker committee to work towards reviving the fortunes of Sunshine Stars Football Club. As quoted in the press release:
“The caretaker committee is to report directly to the Office of the State Governor. Governor Aiyedatiwa charged members of the caretaker team to work towards turning around the fortunes of the Sunshine Stars Football Club,” he added.
