Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has announced the conversion of casual workers at the Osun State University Teaching Hospital to permanent staff after many had remained in temporary positions for twelve years.

Addressing hundreds of hospital workers during a spot visit on Monday, the Governor made the announcement, which was greeted with wild excitement.

The details were further contained in a statement signed by the Spokesperson to the Governor, Olawale Rasheed, and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, the state capital.

Meanwhile, the head of the hospital’s labor movement, Mr. Olamide Faniran, commended the Governor’s pro-labor stance and pledged the support of workers for his re-election.

“We appreciate your support and assistance to Osun workers. We have seen and felt your sacrifices to make life better for the people of Osun. We will reciprocate by massively voting for your re-election on August 15th,” Comrade Faniran vowed.

During the visit, Governor Adeleke accused the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Gboyega Oyetola, and Mr. Bola Oyebamiji of using President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s name to perpetrate anti-people activities in the state.

He declared that both the Minister and the APC governorship candidate orchestrated the current local government crisis in a failed attempt to strangle the state government.

“They plotted against our government. Their goal is to stop the development of Osun. But despite their evil plans, Osun is growing, and our projects are moving,” the Governor stated.

He further alleged: “Both Oyetola and Oyebamiji used the name of Mr. President to do a lot of negative things. They perform tasks the President never authorized. They seized and hijacked almost N300 billion of Osun’s funds, all in their bid to make us fail. But by God and the people, we survive. Our government is delivering good governance. I won’t stop serving and delivering good things for our people.”
