The meeting provided a platform for both leaders to discuss the growing need for stronger coordination between the defence and energy sectors. With Nigeria’s upstream petroleum industry playing a pivotal role in national development, ensuring the protection of critical energy infrastructure has become a top priority.

Mrs. Eyesan expressed appreciation for the Ministry’s proactive engagement, emphasizing that robust collaboration between regulatory and security agencies is essential for achieving sustainable growth in the petroleum sector.
She noted that joint efforts would enhance operational efficiency, protect investments, and ensure uninterrupted energy supply to support economic stability. The visit also explored avenues for intelligence sharing, emergency response protocols, and strategic planning to address potential threats to Nigeria’s energy resources.
Both leaders agreed that a cohesive approach between regulatory bodies and security agencies would strengthen the nation’s resilience against emerging challenges in the energy landscape.
