FTN Cocoa Processors Plc has notified the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX), its shareholders, and the investing public of the passing of its Board Chairman, High Chief (Sir) S.O. Oguntimehin, and the subsequent appointment of Otunba Wale Jubril as Interim Chairman.
According to a regulatory filing by the agro-allied company, Oguntimehin passed away on March 30, 2026.
The board expressed profound sadness over his demise, commending his leadership and lasting contributions to the growth and development of the company.
To ensure leadership continuity and effective governance, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Otunba Wale Jubril as Interim Chairman during its meeting held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026.
His appointment took effect immediately, pending the selection of a substantive chairman in line with the company’s Articles of Association and regulatory requirements.
Jubril, who has served as a Non-Executive Director at FTN Cocoa Processors Plc since 2015, brings over three decades of professional experience across banking, capital markets, finance, and corporate governance.
He is currently the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Float Securities Limited.
In recognition of his extensive track record across the private and public sectors, Jubril was also appointed an Independent Non-Executive Director of Gateway Mortgage Bank, a mortgage bank wholly owned by the Ogun State Government in November 2022.
An alumnus of the University of Lagos, Jubril holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations (1988) alongside three Master’s degrees in Marketing (1993), International Law and Diplomacy (1998), and Economics (1999).
