A Kaduna Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Kabala Doki has ordered the remand of four officials of the Kaduna State Vigilance Service (KADVIS) in a correctional facility over the alleged murder of a Senior Secondary School (SS2) student of Government Technical College, Malali.

The deceased, Ahmed Musa, was reportedly killed on February 16, 2025, within the premises of the school located in Kaduna North local government area of the state.

The four suspects: Timothy Abba (56), Joseph Ogoni (41), Bulus Adamu (42), and Francis Adamu (48) were arraigned before the court on Thursday on charges bordering on criminal conspiracy, negligence of duty, and culpable homicide.

The accused persons, all personnel of KADVIS, were said to have been deployed to the school for security duties at the time of the incident.

However, they allegedly failed in their duty to prevent the incident or report it accordingly, leading to the tragic death of the student.

Presiding magistrate, Justice Naheed Ibrahim Abdulhamid, ordered that the four suspects be remanded at the Kaduna Correctional Centre pending the continuation of the case.

The matter was adjourned to May 27, 2025, for further hearing.
