Former Vice President under President Goodluck Jonathan, Arc Namadi Sambo, has officially defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Sambo, who held office between 2010 and 2015, reportedly completed the switch through the Kaduna State chapter of the APC, in a move that had been kept low-profile.
Confirmation of the defection emerged on Wednesday through a post on X (formerly Twitter) by APC member, Imran Muhammad.
Although Sambo has yet to release a formal statement on the decision, political analysts suggest his departure from the PDP could reshape political calculations in Kaduna State and spark speculation about broader political shifts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
