The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has reinforced its internal political architecture with the inclusion of House of Representatives member, James Abiodun Faleke, into the influential Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development is being interpreted within party circles as part of a broader strategic realignment aimed at consolidating leadership structures and ensuring stability as succession discussions begin to take shape in the state.
Faleke’s entry into the GAC places him within the party’s highest advisory platform, which plays a central role in shaping policy direction, managing internal disputes, and guiding decisions on zoning and candidacy within the Lagos APC framework.

The GAC, widely regarded as the political nerve centre of the Lagos APC, continues to serve as a stabilising mechanism for the party, particularly as emerging interests begin to position themselves ahead of the next governorship cycle.
Political analysts say Faleke’s inclusion could further strengthen internal cohesion, while also widening the circle of influence around key decision-making processes as the party prepares for a competitive electoral season.
Within the APC, the development is also seen as part of ongoing efforts to maintain unity among power blocs and prevent internal fractures as political consultations intensify ahead of 2027.
