Palpable excitement has enveloped Ado-Ekiti and its environs as the Ekiti State Agro-Allied International Cargo Airport is set to witness a historic milestone today with the takeoff of its scheduled commercial flight operations.
The development marks the culmination of months of regulatory compliance, safety tests, and infrastructure upgrades aimed at opening the state’s airspace to the global economy.
In a statement made available to newsmen, the United Nigeria airline will commence its inaugural commercial flight to Ekiti State from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
The commencement of commercial operations is seen as a major victory for the administration of Governor Biodun Oyebanji, who has consistently prioritized the operationalization of the airport as a key pillar of his economic development agenda.
