Osun Amotekun Corps has deployed 1,000 operatives across the state ahead of the Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

The Amotekun Commander, Dr. Isaac Omoyele, disclosed this at the Corps headquarters in Osogbo, said that the personnel have been strategically deployed to maintain peace, ensure surveillance, and boost security during the festive season.

Omoyele warned criminal elements to vacate the state or face the full weight of the law, adding that the Corps is fully prepared to respond to any security threat.

“As the Eid-el-Kabir celebration approaches, I wish to assure residents and visitors that the Osun Amotekun Corps is fully prepared to ensure a safe and secure holiday period,” Omoyele said.

“Over 1,000 personnel have been deployed across all parts of the state. We are committed to providing maximum security throughout the festivities.

“We remain resolute in our mission to rid the state of all criminal elements. They may attempt to flee, but we will pursue them relentlessly,” he warned.

He noted that security is a collective responsibility, adding, “Effective crime detection, control, and prevention require the cooperation of everyone.”

He reaffirmed the Corps’ commitment to ensuring that both residents and travelers enjoy a peaceful and incident-free celebration.
