EFCC declares man wanted over alleged N64m fraud

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared one John Kelechi Ekuma wanted over an alleged N64 million fraud.

In a public notice issued by the Commission, Ekuma, 43, was accused of obtaining money by false pretence and is currently at large.

According to the EFCC, the suspect is from Ikwo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, with his last known address listed as 13/14 Ligali Ayomide Street, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The anti-graft agency called on members of the public with useful information about his whereabouts to assist in his arrest.

It urged anyone with credible information to report to any of its offices nationwide, including Ibadan, Uyo, Sokoto, Maiduguri, Benin, Makurdi, Kaduna, Ilorin, Enugu, Kano, Lagos, Gombe, Port Harcourt, and Abuja.

The Commission also advised the public to contact the nearest police station or other security agencies, or reach out through its official communication channels.

The notice was signed by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale.
