…approves road linking bridge to Glorydrive phase 3
Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri has inaugurated the Opolo bridge constructed by Hon. Oboku Oforji, member representing Yenagoa/Kolokuma/Opokuma federal constituency in the House of Representatives.
Speaking at the event, the Governor commended Hon. Oforji for facilitating the construction of the brigde which will improve the socio-economic development of Opolo community, Yenagoa LGA and Bayelsa State.
“This bridge is a face changing project. It’s a project that grants access, improves commerce and eases the movement of our people.”
“I commend Hon. Oforji Oboku for facilitating this bridge project in Opolo community. This shows he has the interest of his people at heart.”
“Following the request by Opolo community Royal Highness, I have approved the construction of the road linking the bridge to soon to be completed Glory drive phase 3”, Gov. Diri said.
Dignitaries at the commissioning were Senator Friday Konbowei Benson, representing Bayelsa central senatorial district, Head of Service, Dr. Wisdom Sawyer, Acting Chief of Staff Government House, Mr. Irorodamie Komonibo, Commissioners, Local Government Chairmen and other top government officials.
