The Commissioner of Police in Enugu State, Mr Mamman Giwa, has congratulated the people of Enugu State and Nigerians on the occasion of the nation’s 66th Independence Anniversary.
The commissioner, in a congratulatory message he issued on Thursday in Enugu, assured residents of continued improvement in security across the state.
The state police boss commended the people for their support and cooperation with the police and other security agencies.
He noted that sustained community partnership remained crucial to maintaining peace and public safety.
The commissioner reaffirmed the command’s commitment to strengthening crime prevention, intelligence-led policing and rapid response.
“The command is urging residents to always remain vigilant, law-abiding and supportive of security efforts,” he said.
He wished the residents of the state and all Nigerians a peaceful and memorable Independence Anniversary.
“We are calling for continued unity and collective responsibility in building a safer society,” he added.
