The Lead Pastor of Glorious Destiny Family Church, Borokiri, Port Harcourt, Pastor Akeem Idoniboye, has emphasised that only those who are truly dedicated to their responsibilities experience meaningful progress in life.
Speaking during a sermon titled “Destiny Acceleration,“ Pastor Idoniboye stressed that dedication often attracts divine favour and advancement. According to him, it is impossible to remain stagnant when genuinely connected to God.
“Progress and advancement are part of God’s perfect plan for His people,” he said. “God has no interest in seeing His children remain in the same place. Growth is evidenced by movement. If you are a child of God and you’re not moving forward, something is wrong.”
He highlighted that God’s involvement in an individual’s life unlocks destiny acceleration, and that commitment to one’s duties sets a person apart.
“Dedication is the key to distinction and the doorway to addition,” he said. “The things you do when no one is watching reflect who you truly are. If you’re truly dedicated, you won’t remain on the same level as your peers. Don’t just be a title-holding Christian be an active participant in God’s house.”
Pastor Idoniboye also cautioned Christians to be deliberate about their relationships, noting that associations have the power to shape destinies.
“Friendship is a matter of choice, not force,” he warned. “Association can raise or ruin, make or mar. Who you walk with can influence your transformation or stagnation.”
