BUA Foods Plc recorded a 101 percent rise in profit after tax to N405.27 billion for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, driven by higher sales volumes and improved cost efficiency.
Revenue grew 33 percent to N1.42 trillion from N1.07 trillion in the same period last year, reflecting strong performances across its sugar, flour, pasta, and rice divisions. The flour segment led growth with a 52 percent increase to N591.5 billion, while sugar rose 10 percent to N599.2 billion. Pasta and rice revenues advanced 12 percent and 4,884 percent to N150.5 billion and N79.5 billion respectively.
Gross profit jumped 56 percent to N520.65 billion as margins improved to 36.7 percent, while operating profit rose 39 percent to N437.58 billion. Net finance costs declined 58 percent to N4.86 billion.
Profit before tax doubled to N432.58 billion, with earnings per share up 101 percent to N22.52. Total assets increased 13 percent to N1.24 trillion, and equity grew 40 percent to N600.33 billion.
