Nigeria’s headline inflation rate has dropped to 16.05 per cent in October 2025, according to the latest Consumer Price Index report released on Monday by the National Bureau of Statistics.
The NBS, in the report published on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, said the new figure represents a decline from the 18.02 per cent recorded in September.
However, on a month-on-month basis, headline inflation rose by 0.93 per cent in October.
The report also indicated a marginal relief in food prices, noting that food inflation eased by 0.37 per cent month-on-month.
October’s figure marks the seventh consecutive month of decline in Nigeria’s annual inflation rate.
