BON awards: Radio Lagos and Eko FM named stations of the year

Radio Lagos and Eko FM have emerged as top winners at the Nigeria Broadcasting Awards (TNBA) organised by the Broadcasting Organisation of Nigeria (BON), securing 6 awards across major categories.

The stations stood out among 248 entries submitted nationwide, earning recognition for excellence in news delivery, programming, professionalism and commitment to public service.

The awards won include Radio Station of the Year, Best Radio Station News (English Language), Best Radio Station News (Indigenous Language), and Best Radio Station Original Production in Business, Drama and Sports (English Language).

They also won Best Radio Station Original Production in Business, Drama and Sports (Indigenous Language), while won Newscaster of the Year and was named Reporter of the Year.

Speaking while receiving the awards, the General Manager of the stations, , expressed appreciation to the organisers for the recognition.

He said the honour would motivate the management and staff to sustain the stations’ standard of excellence and professionalism.

He also commended Gov. Sanwolu for his leadership and support, dedicating the awards to him.

He further praised the commitment of staff and the loyalty of listeners saying with the 6 awards, Eko FM and Radio Lagos have reinforced their position as leading voices in Nigeria’s broadcasting sector.
