Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, today, received the 23rd Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke in Government House, Yenagoa.
Governor Diri while congratulating Air Marshal Aneke on his appointment as Chief of Air Staff, stated that the state has been a fertile ground for senior military officers who serve with integrity.
The governor further stated that the relationship between the Air Force and the Bayelsa state government has been cordial, stating that they have contributed immensely to maintaining peace in the state.
”First, your visit today is an homecoming for us, and we open our arms to receive you. You served this state with integrity whilst you were here as Air Officer commanding the mobility command.You worked in partnership and synergy with the Government and good people of Bayelsa state.
So, we are very proud that God has made it so possible for most of you who are very senior military officers that have served with integrity here are always rewarded, and that’s our prayer in Bayelsa, that when you serve here and serve the people and the government, God is seeing you, and the next thing for good service is more service.
