The Bauchi State Government has constructed a 600-bed capacity hostel at the Aliko Dangote College of Sciences, Bauchi, to address students’ accommodation needs.

Provost of the College, Dr. Rakiya Saleh, disclosed this on Tuesday during a facility tour, noting that the project is 90 per cent complete.

“The hostel consists of 100 rooms designed to house 600 students, with drainage and kitchen facilities in line with modern standards. It is expected to be ready within two months,” she said.

Dr. Saleh added that the state government has also renovated and equipped the college library, as well as upgraded the students’ common room to meet accreditation standards.

“We do not have challenges with the regulatory authorities because the state has continued to meet the requirements,” she explained.

She further revealed that the college recently secured accreditation from the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) and the Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), which has led to an increase in programmes and student enrolment.
