Retired Commodore Yilchini Bida, an aspirant in the recently concluded governorship primary for All Progressives Congress (APC) in Plateau has rejected the result of the election.

Bida, who described the primary as a “sham”, rejected the result in a statement on Saturday in Jos.

The report states that Bida contested with the incumbent governor of the state, Mr Caleb Mutfwang.

Mutfwang, who scored 233, 335 votes defeated Bida in the primary having secured 3,070 votes.

Bida, who alleged massive electoral fraud during the exercise, called on the APC leadership at the national level to investigate the matter.

“Following extensive consultations with my campaign organisation, legal team, agents and key stakeholders across the 17 Local Government Areas of the State, I state clearly and unequivocally that I reject in totality the declared results and the flawed process.

“The entire exercise was an orchestrated sham, characterised by subversion of official process, secret distribution of materials, denial of franchise, pre-fabricated result, among other infractions.

“As a trained forensic accountant, I must also call urgent attention to the severe lack of integrity in the data and figures being circulated as election results.

“The announced outcome show patterns that are excessively uniform, repetitive, and mathematically too perfect to reflect human behavior.

“Organic democratic data is naturally diverse and uneven, carrying unique regional signatures.

“However, these figures behave like a single mathematical formula replicated across multiple locations,”he alleged

Bida, however, urged his supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding, adding that he would explore all lawful, constitutional, and democratic avenues to ensure that justice is served.
