The National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, has lost his polling unit to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
The All Progressives Congress secured a decisive victory at the unit with 256 votes, while the Accord Party finished second with 43 votes.
The ADC trailed in third place, recording just 13 votes.
The outcome delivers a significant political setback to the former Osun State governor and former interior minister on his home turf, where the ruling party maintained a commanding lead over the opposition.
