The All Progressives Congress (APC) has recorded the highest number of votes at Ilerin Road Polling Unit 008, Ilerin Registration Area, Ilesa East Local Government Area of Osun State.
According to the result sheet released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the APC polled 143 votes to emerge as the leading party at the polling unit.
The Accord Party came second with 94 votes, while the African Democratic Congress (ADC) secured nine votes. The African Democratic Party (ADP) recorded four votes, while the AA and APGA parties scored three and two votes respectively. The Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) also polled two votes, while AAC secured one vote.
The result sheet showed that 1,077 voters were registered at the polling unit, while 267 voters were accredited for the election.
A total of 1,092 ballot papers were issued to the polling unit, with 825 recorded as unused. The sheet also recorded nine rejected ballots, while the total number of valid votes stood at 258.
The figures were entered on the official INEC Form EC8A and signed by the presiding officer and polling agents.
The result from Ilerin Road adds to the emerging picture from polling units across Osun State, with the APC taking a clear lead at the unit with 143 votes against Accord’s 94.
The election results are expected to form part of the overall figures to be collated by INEC as the process continues.
