Mr Gbenga Abiola, All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Agege Constituency 01, has organised an interfaith prayer session for the party’s candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Abiola said the session was organised to seek peace, divine guidance, protection and victory for all APC candidates at various levels.
Newsmen report that the programme was attended by traditional rulers, chiefs, APC leaders, religious leaders, stakeholders and party members.
The Chief Imam of Ajakaiye, Alfa Isiak Adam, prayed for divine guidance, victory and peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections.
Dr Kayode Opeifa, Managing Director, Nigeria Railway Corporation (NRC), urged APC members to maintain peaceful coexistence before, during and after the elections.
Opeifa also urged members to remain united and committed to the party’s ideals while mobilising support for all APC candidates.
“We urge you all to mobilise support for all our party candidates as we appreciate President Bola Tinubu, Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, Deputy Gov. Obafemi Hamzat and other Lagos APC leaders for their continued commitment to progressive governance,” he said.
The APC chieftain in Agege Constituency also urged members to prepare for the celebration of Nigeria’s forthcoming Independence Day anniversary.
Dr Oluyinka Ogundimu, a former lawmaker representing Agege Constituency 02 in the Lagos State House of Assembly, urged members to remain loyal, dedicated and steadfast in their support for the party.
Abiola urged members to remain united, work tirelessly for victory and continue to pray for all APC candidates, from the presidency to the state House of Assembly.
“I am confident that the APC will emerge victorious in spite of opposition from rival parties,” he said.
Mr Moruf Olohunwa, Chairman, Community Development Committee (CDC), Agege Local Government, called on residents to vote for APC candidates.
Chief Sola Osolana, an APC chieftain and Director-General of the Campaign Organisation for LAHA candidates in Agege, reaffirmed his commitment to grassroots mobilisation for the party’s candidates.
Alhaji Saadu Usman, Leader of the Arewa Community in Agege, urged members to sustain unity, intensify grassroots mobilisation and work collectively for the party’s victory in the forthcoming elections.
