Voting has officially started at several polling units in Anambra State as the governorship election kicks off today.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) confirmed activity at RA 10: Enugwu Ukwu II, PU 003 & PU 004, located in Njikoka Local Government Area.
The electoral body urged eligible voters to participate peacefully, stating: “Be counted, be heard. Step out and vote peacefully. Every vote must count.”
INEC also warned against vote buying, reminding citizens that: “Your vote is not for sale.”
However, reports from Awka indicate that some polling units had not received INEC officials as of 8:30 am, raising concerns about delays at the state’s administrative centre.
