The Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has relieved all political aides of their duties with immediate effect.
According to an official statement released via the state’s verified X (formerly Twitter) handle, the dissolution specifically affects all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) to the Governor.
In a briefing on Monday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Prince Ebenezer Adeniyan, explained that the decision is part of an ongoing drive to enhance administrative efficiency and deepen service delivery across the state.
“The Governor thanked the outgoing aides for their contributions to the development of the state thus far and wished them well in their future endeavors,” Adeniyan stated.
To strengthen coordination and inject fresh capacity into the administration, the Governor has announced plans to appoint approximately 1,000 new aides in the coming weeks.
These appointments will be strategically drawn from the 203 wards across the 18 local government areas of the state, ensuring grassroots representation and a more inclusive governance structure.
The move is seen as a major step toward restructuring the executive arm to be more responsive to the needs of the citizenry as the administration enters a new phase of policy implementation.
