The management of Air Peace has officially dismissed reports alleging that its Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Allen Onyema, and Vice Chairman, Mrs. Alice Onyema, are facing a tax-related lawsuit initiated by the Lagos State Government.

In a statement released on Monday, the airline clarified that neither the company nor the Onyemas have received any court summons or formal notification concerning the alleged legal action.

The company expressed shock at claims suggesting that legal proceedings have been active since February without any official communication being made to them.

Air Peace emphasized that both its corporate and personal tax obligations have been fully satisfied and are up to date, aligning strictly with all applicable laws and regulatory standards.

The management added that if any computational discrepancies exist, the Onyemas and the airline are willing to engage with the Lagos State Government to review and reconcile potential shortfalls in the spirit of due process and transparency.

Reaffirming their dedication to the nation’s aviation industry, the airline stated that the Onyemas will continue to uphold their values of resilience, patriotism, and integrity, and will not be distracted from their commitment to serving the flying public.
