The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) of the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, Mrs Margaret Ochalla, has on Friday, cleared medical bills of some indigent patients in Lagos.
It was gathered that Ochalla had visited the Federal Medical Centre (FMC) Ebute-Metta, as well as the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital, where she paid the hospital bills of patients who could not afford treatment.
She had visited the paediatric Emergency Unit at the FMC Ebute-Metta, where she settled the medical expenses of a newborn awaiting surgery, along with bills of other indigent patients.
Speaking during the visit, Ochalla said that the gesture reflects commitment of the Nigeria Police Force, to serving citizens beyond the traditional duties of law enforcement.
