The Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation (SABMF) has disowned alleged recruitment activities and collection of money from job seekers in Niger State.
The foundation said the activities were allegedly being carried out in Sabo Wuse, Tafa Local Government Area of Niger State.
This is contained in a disclaimer signed by Engr. Abubakar Umar, Director General and Chief Executive Officer of SABMF in Kaduna on Wednesday.
Umar said the alleged perpetrators claimed to operate under the name of Rythm Foundation/QNET while using SABMF’s name.
He stressed that SABMF had no affiliation, partnership or relationship whatsoever with Rythm Foundation or any related entity.
According to him, SABMF does not solicit jobs for individuals or collect money from members of the public for its programmes.
He warned members of the public against dubious individuals allegedly using the foundation’s name to extort money from unsuspecting persons.
Umar urged the public to always verify the authenticity of recruitment claims involving SABMF before making any commitment or payment.
He advised anyone approached by persons making such claims to exercise caution and verify the information through appropriate channels.
The director general reiterated SABMF’s commitment to protecting the public from fraudulent activities carried out in its name.
