A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Kunle Adegoke, popularly known as K-Rad has declared his intention to contest the forthcoming 2026 Osun governorship election under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adegoke disclosed his intention on Monday, shortly after meeting Osun APC leaders at the party’s secretariat along Gbongan/Ibadan road, Osogbo, said that he have perfected plans to ensure that the economy of Osun is completely re-engineered and overhauled.

He stated that he will reinvent the state financial policies that will not rely on allocations from the federal government.

He lamented the current state of Osun state under the ruling party, stating, ‘There is a lot to be done because the state in which our state has found itself today is not enviable.

According to him, We are here today to declare my intention to contest the governorship election coming up in 2026. That is the reason why we are here today for a declaration of intention to contest the governorship election coming up in 2026 on the platform of All Progressive Congress.

“There is a lot to be done because the state in which our state has found it self today is not enviable, and without an economy that is able to make life more abundant for it people that is nothing we can celebrate.

“So, I have perfected plans to ensure that the economy of Osun is completely re-engineered and overhauled. And to this extent, we are looking at things that we have, not only in terms of natural resources, we are equally looking at human resources.

“I have been working seriously to ensure that what we call land management, what we call Agric revolution will be brought to bear in Osun State.

“And we are going to reinvent our financial policies that it will become possible for the state to survive with or without allocations from the federal government.

“That is not possible today as a result of the fact that the government in existence has not been able to generate plans that will guarantee this.

“We have done a lot of work on this and we believe that coming into power we shall bring to bear a situation where there will be developmental economics implementation in Osun States,” he added.
