Access Holdings PLC has issued an official disclaimer following the unauthorized circulation of projected financial results on various social media platforms.

In a statement filed with the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) on Tuesday, the Company Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi, categorically distanced the corporation from the leaked figures, describing them as speculative and unauthorized.

The company clarified that it has not released any financial statements for the period in question and cautioned the investing public against making financial decisions based on unverified information.

The management stressed that the leaked results did not emanate from the company’s internal reporting systems and do not reflect its true financial standing.

“The attention of Access Holdings PLC has been drawn to a purported financial result for the first quarter of 2026 circulating on social media. We wish to state clearly that the Company has not authorized the release of any such report. The figures contained therein are entirely speculative and do not represent the performance of the Group,” the statement read.

The company noted that as a highly regulated entity, it adheres to strict corporate governance standards regarding the dissemination of sensitive financial data.

The Company Secretary further reminded stakeholders that official financial results are only published through authorized regulatory channels, including the NGX portal and the company’s official website, following approval by the Board of Directors and relevant regulatory bodies.

He also disclosed that an internal investigation is underway to determine the source of the misinformation.

This development comes as the bank prepares for its scheduled board meeting on April 30, 2026, where the official unaudited financial statements for the first quarter are expected to be reviewed and subsequently released to the market in line with listing requirements.
