Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Mr Akinyemi Odusolu as an Independent Non-Executive Director of its subsidiary, Access Bank Plc, effective 2 May 2025.
The appointment, which has been approved by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), reflects the bank’s strategy to enhance its governance framework by incorporating advanced financial and technological expertise.
A statement issued by the Company Secretary, Sunday Ekwochi, noted that Odusolu’s extensive experience will play a vital role in supporting Access Bank’s growth and long-term stability, particularly in areas such as digital transformation and financial strategy.
Chairman of Access Bank Plc, Paul Usoro (SAN), said the appointment reflects the bank’s commitment to strengthening its Board with individuals who offer both global insight and professional diversity.

Mr Odusolu brings over three decades of experience in financial services and IT consulting, with a strong background in developing technology-driven financial solutions.
He has held several senior leadership roles in highly regulated sectors, equipping him with a balanced combination of financial insight and technological competence, both of which are expected to enhance the performance of Access Bank’s Board.
Currently, he is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Pacific Realm Limited, a software engineering and consultancy firm with a broad client base across Europe.
Previously, he served as the pioneer Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Cornerstone Financial Services, a subsidiary of Cornerstone Insurance Plc. During his tenure, he made notable contributions towards improving operational efficiency and refining financial strategies.
His banking experience includes significant roles at Guaranty Trust Bank Plc and the defunct Habib Nigeria Bank Limited, where he was involved in business development, risk management, transaction services, and underwriting.
Mr Odusolu holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Ife and an MBA from the University of Lagos. He is also certified in Oracle e-Business Suite and has attended executive development programmes at globally recognised business schools.
