No fewer than eight persons are feared trapped in a building collapse on Tuesday in llorin, the Kwara capital.
The incident reportedly occured at 5:30a.m., at Popo-Giwa, Mosalasi Gogoro, off Ajikobi road in llorin West Local Government Area of the state.
According to eyewitnesses, among those trapped in the collapded two storey building include nursing mothers and children.
Newsmen report that personnel of the state fire service, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC) and residents of the area are currently carrying out rescue operation.
Also on ground at the site were officials of the State Emergency Management Agency to carry out rescue operation.
Efforts to speak with any of the officials and the police command on the incident proved futile.
