Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has rolled out a comprehensive grassroots mobilisation campaign aimed at ensuring all eligible citizens take part in the forthcoming voter registration exercise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The initiative, according to the State Commissioner for Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, reflects the governor’s commitment to strengthening democracy by encouraging broad participation and inclusive governance.
To make the campaign effective, the Ministry of Information is working in close partnership with the Ministry of Local Government Affairs, the Bureau of Religious Affairs, as well as traditional and religious leaders. This coordinated approach is expected to spread awareness across every ward, village, and community in Kaduna State.
Maiyaki explained that the campaign is consistent with Governor Sani’s vision of a people-focused administration, where every citizen’s voice is recognised and their role in shaping the state’s future is secured.
He appealed to stakeholders, including community leaders, youth associations, women’s groups, and civil society actors, to join forces in supporting the effort for it to achieve meaningful results.
The exercise is regarded as a strategic step to guarantee high voter turnout and proper representation when the state goes to the polls in 2027.
