The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed confidence that the ruling party will secure a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.

Yilwatda stated this on Saturday in Dungun, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, shortly after casting his vote in the ongoing presidential primary election of the party.

The APC chairman, who voted alongside former Plateau State governor and senator representing Plateau South, Simon Lalong, described the APC as the dominant political force in Nigeria.

According to him, the party’s growing popularity and grassroots support across the country have positioned it as one of the largest political parties on the African continent.

“The massive turnout of people shows how deeply the party has penetrated rural communities and villages,” Yilwatda said.

“It also demonstrates that Nigerians believe in the APC and in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.

“For us, 2027 is already a walk-over. The APC will record a landslide victory across the country,” he added.

The APC national chairman also pledged to reconcile aggrieved party members, especially aspirants who lost during the recent primaries, stressing that unity within the party would further strengthen its chances ahead of the general elections.

“We are committed to bringing everyone together because unity remains critical to our success in 2027,” he said.

Speaking separately, Lalong assured the party leadership of his support in mobilising members and stakeholders towards securing victory for the APC at all levels in the next elections.

Also speaking, the Chairman of Kanke Local Government Area, Lapchin Golime, promised overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang in the forthcoming elections.

“We promise 99 per cent votes in Kanke for the president and our governor because our people have seen and experienced the real dividends of democracy in our communities,” Golime said.
