The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has expressed absolute confidence that the ruling party will secure a landslide victory in the 2027 general elections.
Yilwatda stated this on Saturday in Dungun, Kanke Local Government Area of Plateau State, shortly after casting his vote in the party’s nationwide presidential primary election.
The APC Chairman, who voted alongside the former governor of Plateau State and current Senator representing Plateau South, Simon Lalong, described the APC as the country’s dominant political force.
He noted that the party’s growing popularity and robust grassroots support have positioned it as one of the largest political movements on the African continent.
“The massive turnout of voters shows how deeply the party has penetrated rural communities and villages. It also demonstrates that Nigerians believe in the APC and in the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu.”
“For us, 2027 is already a walkover. The APC will record a landslide victory across the country,” he said

The national chairman also pledged to reconcile aggrieved party members, particularly aspirants who did not succeed in the recent primaries, stressing that internal cohesion remains vital to cementing success ahead of the general elections.
Speaking separately, Senator Lalong assured the party leadership of his total support in mobilizing members and key stakeholders to secure victory for the APC at all levels in the upcoming polls.
Also speaking at the venue, the Chairman of Kanke Local Government Area, Lapchin Golime, promised overwhelming support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang in the forthcoming elections.
“We promise 99 per cent of the votes in Kanke for the President and our Governor because our people have seen and experienced the real dividends of democracy in our communities,” Golime stated.
