10,000 new Police Constables complete training

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has successfully graduated 10,000 newly trained Constables following the completion of their intensive training across various Police Colleges and Institutions nationwide.

This significant, simultaneous Passing Out Parade marks a major step in the Force’s ongoing strategic effort to boost its manpower and enhance operational capacity in line with global standards.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, addressed the new recruits, commending their perseverance through the rigorous training.

He specifically charged them to uphold the core values instilled during their instruction: honour, diligence, and patriotism.

The comprehensive training curriculum focused on preparing the Constables for modern law enforcement, emphasizing ethical values, respect for human rights, community partnership, intelligence-led policing, and the judicious use of authority. The goal of this modernized curriculum is to promote professionalism and build public trust in policing.

The graduation of this batch is part of the Force’s strategic manpower development plan under the current administration, designed to enhance security presence, improve response capacity, and reinforce public safety across Nigeria, a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer (PRO), CSP Benjamin Hundeyin stated.

The statemwnt further noted that this is the second major batch this year, as a previous set of 10,000 Constables passed out in January 2025.

The IGP reiterated the NPF’s commitment to continuous training, welfare improvement, and necessary institutional reforms aimed at sustaining the gains of modern policing and ensuring a safer and more secure Nigeria for all citizens.
