Aluko advises Lukaku on how he can start scoring again for Chelsea

Former Chelsea forward, Eni Aluko, has advised Romelu Lukaku on how he can start scoring again for the Blues.

According to Aluko, Lukaku must be more adventurous in a bid to end his recent goalscoring struggles.

Lukaku, who returned to Stamford Bridge in the summer from Inter Milan, scored three goals in his first three Premier League matches this season.

However, the Belgium striker has since not scored in his last seven games in all competitions for Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Speaking on the development, Aluko told BT Sport, “This is an instrumental player who was scoring so many goals for Inter Milan to win the title, he started on fire for Chelsea scoring goals- he’s scoring goals for Belgium in the Nations League.

“It may just be that he’s thinking about it too much, these players are at the cutting edge if they don’t score in one game, it becomes a crisis and it’s not a crisis.

“I think Lukaku needs to be a bit more adventurous, he plays within the width of the goal, can he play on the counter attack a bit more? For Belgium, sometimes he moves out wide.

“Be a bit more unpredictable, sometimes the best defenders like against Juventus, they read him.

“He’s getting in the right positions, but he’s snatching it now, in the first few games, he wasn’t doing that. Maybe he’s just overthinking things. Just snatching at it a little bit, it’s not a crisis because he’s getting in the right position.”
