‘Alright, mate’: Middleborough takes a jab at Cristiano Ronaldo
English Championship club Middleborough have taken a dig at Manchester United legend, Cristiano Ronaldo.
This followed the football icon’s outburst against Scotland after a UEFA Nations League clash.
Ronaldo could not find the back of the net as Portugal were held to a 0-0 draw by Scotland at Hampden Park on Tuesday.
The Al-Nassr superstar only managed four shots, with only one on target.
Ronaldo was also angry at the referee for blowing the final whistle when his side was about to take a corner kick.
The Real Madrid legend stormed off the pitch after the game.
Ben Doak, on loan at Middleborough from Liverpool, started for Scotland against Portugal.
Following the game, the Championship outfit aimed a jibe at the former Real Madrid and Juventus man by posting a picture of a moment involving the Portugal captain and Doak during the game.
The Scottish winger can be seen smiling at Ronaldo, who looked frustrated.
The Scot’s hands were on the legend’s chest as Middleborough captioned the post:
“Alright, mate?”
