‘All Eyes on the Judiciary’ advert: I’m happy Nigerians demanding transparency, accoubtability – Ezekwesili
Former Minister of Education, Obiageli Ezekwesili has claimed that the controversial “All Eyes on the Judiciary” advert is one of the best things that has happened to the nation’s third arm of government.
She is of the view that the judiciary always needed citizens to demand transparency and accountability for their huge constitutional responsibility.
News Men recalls that the Federal Government ordered the removal of the billboards of “All Eyes on the Judiciary” nationwide, after it claimed that it would pitch the people against the judiciary.
The government also dissolved the Advertising Standard Panel (ASP) secretariat over its approval of the ‘All Eyes on The Judiciary’ advert.
However, in a post on her social media platform on Friday, the former Minister reiterated that she has her eyes on the Nigerian judiciary and is delighted to see many other citizens doing the same.
She wrote, “I absolutely have my eyes on the Nigerian Judiciary and delighted to see many other citizens do too.
“#AllEyesOnTheJudiciary is one of the best things that has happened to our Judiciary, the 3rd Arm of Government, in recent times.
“Just like the other 2 Arms- Executive and Legislature, the Judiciary always needed our Citizens to demand transparency and accountability for their huge constitutional responsibility.
“One of the critical things you’ll learn in Policy School is to always keep the message simple for your target audience.
“The Judiciary has a message from citizens, who understand the importance of their country joining the league of countries that have through uncompromising adherence to Democratic Processes, built lasting institutions required for Development.
“It is #AllEyesOnTheJudiciary.”
