Alejandro Garnacho tells Ten Hag his preferred position

Manchester United youngster, Alejandro Garnacho, has said that he likes playing on the left wing as much as possible after his breakthrough into manager Erik ten Hag’s first team.

Garnacho has four goal contributions to his name from his last four appearances for Man United.

Garnacho’s goals came when he was playing in his favoured role in the forward line for Man United.

The 18-year-old star scored his first senior goal for the Red Devils in their UEFA Europa League victory against Real Sociedad, registered two assists against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup, and then came off the bench to score a dramatic winner against Fulham in the Premier League.

“I have always liked to play out wide on the left, as a right-footed player able to cut inside,” Garnacho told club media.

“To be able to play as a right-footed player down the left, you also have to be pretty decent with your weaker foot. From an early age, I have always practiced hard using both feet because that makes you into a much better player, and so nowadays I can play with both feet – not to perfection but to a good standard.”
