The Chairman/CEO Dewpoint Dynamic Venture Limited, Mr. Etang Edike said Akwa Ibom State is favoured on the rice invest programme with good climate condition for rain-fed Rice Production unlike those states used irrigation system farming year round.
The Chairman/CEO Dewpoint Dynamic Venture Limited, Mr. Etang Edike made this known in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State during the unveiling and launching of Rice Invest Programme.
The Chairman called on farmers and stakeholders and especially farmers group to take advantage of the Rice Invest Programme and made them to understand in no distant time Akwa Ibom Would become the Largest Producer of Rice across the Country while because the soil is best and natural for Rice Farming despite that they would educate them how to invest in rice farming.
According to him, about 7,500 hectares of land, provided by communities in Ini LGA have been surveyed, Expansion of Ikono and Ibiono Ibom LGAs in no distant future as they have come to key in the DAKKDA Philosophy of the State Government.
The Chief Consultant Rice Invest Programme, Dr. UmanaEtte Udoh commended DewPoint Dynamic Venture Limited for bringing such investment in Akwa Ibom State as it would also fight against poverty on the people while the Promoters, Dewpoint Dynamic Ventures Limited has agreed to pay fifty percent (50%), as Returns On Investment (ROI) net of fees and charges to investors per year. Should the State, Local Governments and all WORKERS invest in this Agricultural Revolution.
He said the truth is that we must push hard for food sufficiency and food security in this country. And Akwa Ibom State, under the able leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel, must take the lead. That’s why we have come to support the Governor 8-point Completion Agenda. And working together we can make it happen.
A farmer, Mr. Udo Akpan said the promoters would not disappoint Akwa Ibom People and believe when they invest not only to have profit rather understanding the Rice Farming System.
