Airtel Nigeria sponsors ‘The Price is Right,’ bringing the iconic game show to all Nigerians

Airtel Nigeria has announced its sponsorship of the legendary game show, ‘The Price is Right,’ extending this exciting experience not only to its 64 million subscribers but to all Nigerians. This announcement was made by Femi Oshinlaja, Chief Commercial Officer of Airtel Nigeria, during a recent interview on TVC’s morning program, ‘Your View.’

Oshinlaja highlighted that Airtel’s collaboration with SmartCash Payment Service Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary, provides a unique opportunity for Nigerians to engage with and benefit from the show.

“Our partnership with ‘The Price is Right’ aligns perfectly with our vision of transforming lives and giving back unconditionally. We are thrilled to be involved in such a transformative show. This opportunity is open not only to Airtel subscribers but to all Nigerians aged 18 and above, ensuring that everyone has an equal chance to participate and win,” he stated.

He further explained that SmartCash is committed to driving financial inclusion and providing rewarding financial services. “Just as the game show offers contestants the chance to win cash and exciting prizes, SmartCash is dedicated to delivering benefits such as cashback, data, and free airtime through our financial transactions.”

Executive Producer of ‘The Price is Right,’ Olatunbosun Olaegbe, also praised Airtel and SmartCash for their commitment to giving back through the show.

“We are grateful to Airtel for recognising the show as a platform to contribute to society. Their ongoing service to Nigerians and the opportunity for SmartCash merchants to showcase their products and services through this partnership is highly commendable,” he said.

Olaegbe announced that the show will debut on September 1st, following its launch event on August 25th in Victoria Island, Lagos.

To participate, interested individuals can register on ‘The Price is Right’ website to join the live studio audience or engage from home via the mobile app. Additionally, Airtel and SmartCash customers may be randomly selected for participation, with Airtel planning to introduce a USSD option for customers to play and win prizes such as MiFi devices, routers, and household items.
