Airtel Nigeria launches new TV commercial for home Broadband-Live limitless

Airtel Nigeria has unveiled its new campaign for its home broadband. On the 5th of November 2024, in an event held at Ebony life place, Lagos, the a TV commercial was premiered.

Speaking in his welcome address, the Chief Commercial officer, Femi Oshinlaja stated that “It’s not just about launching a new commercial, it’s about celebrating a way of life, we are proud to introduce a story that resonates with the strength, resilience and boundless spirit of Nigerians represented by our remarkable star in the house, Farooq Oreagba”.

He went further to say that Farooq who has become known as the “king of steeze” is the evidence of living without limits, after triumphing over a challenging battle with cancer, Farooq Oreagba continues to inspire billions by living his life to the fullest with the passion and confidence that has earned him his place in the heart of the youths and beyond.

“We are unlimited and we are proud to enable lives to live limitlessly. As Airtel we believe in empowering our customers to break barriers, stay connected and live limitlessly.

With our home broad band product, we offer seamless connectivity enabling Nigerians to reach new height in work, entertainment and family life without constraint or traditional limitations”.

He added that, “we hope that this commercial inspires you and every Nigerian to live limitless with Airtel home broadband”.

Head of brands and advertising, Bolanle Osotule emphasised that “This event marks a significant commitment to empower individuals to overcome obstacles. The lead character’s journey inspires us all as he rises above adversity”.

“Our product is the embodiment of this powerful message, offering everyone the opportunity to break free from limitations and achieve greatness.

We believe that by the transformative impact of our product on people’s life we can make a difference and create a world where everyone has the chance to live limitless life”.

Also speaking, the MD/ CEO at NG Clearing Limited Mr Farooq Oreagba, who is a cancer survivor shared the story of how it was a routine scan he went for on the 3rd of February 2014 and a week later he was told he had face and skin cancer.

He shared his personal connection to the campaign’s message as proof that every human can live without limits.

“Being diagnosed with cancer is the best thing that has ever happened to me, it made me realise who I am, what matters, who I need to be with and it’s taken a big burden off my shoulders” he said.
“Whatever it is don’t quit, always remain positive and appreciate what life has to offer you because there’s always someone in a worst position than you”.

According to Mr Farooq Oreagba, Airtel wasn’t the first brand to approach him but he picked Airtel because of the message it was trying to pass across.

“For me it was about how you couched that advert. Trying to give hope to others has become something very important to me”.

He concluded by saying he didn’t mention anything health as a limitation because for him as a person health did not limit him.
