Aide felicitates Sen. Tofowomo at 61

Mr Olumide Akinrinlola, Media Aide to Sen. Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South Senatorial District at the National Assembly, has felicitated his boss on the occasion of his 61st birthday.

Akinrinlola, in a statement issued on Thursday in Okitipupa, described Tofowomo as a hero, who had done his best for his constituents, in spite of being confined to crutches after a ghastly motor accident.

Recalled that Tofowomo and three other People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chieftains were, on Sept. 6, 2019, involved in a ghastly auto crash which later claimed life of one of them, Toyin Ajinde.

The accident took the senator away from the National Assembly for more than a year.

Akinrilola also described the lawmaker as gifted, courageous, passionate, reliable and an amazing leader in all ramifications, expressing appreciation that he had given him the opportunity to work with him against all odds.

“Tofowomo is my hero because he is gifted, courageous, reliable and an amazing leader, who has tried his best for his constituents, in spite of being confined to crunches after surviving a ghastly auto crash.

“He has moved more than five motions and sponsored four bills, many of which have gone through second reading, while he has contributed immensely to many national issues at the plenary for a better Nigeria.

“The senator has also facilitated many jobs opportunities and organised many skills acquisitions and training programmes for his constituents to make them self-reliant and take them out of poverty.

“He is a detribalised Nigerian, but he does not joke with the development of his people and he will never trade away anything that will bring development to them,” he said.

According to Akinrinlola, Tofowomo has also promised his constituents more dividends of democracy, as he works steadily to spring ‘mother of all surprises’ in a couple of weeks, following his determination to close the gap created by the accident.

While wishing him a happy birth, he prayed for divine healing so that he can return to the National Assembly and continue to perform his constitutional role to his constituents.

Akinrinlola, however, urged the people Ondo South senatorial district to continue to pray for long life and good health for the lawmaker to bring more development to the area.
