A’Ibom APC expresses confidence, readiness to clear LG polls
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom says it is prepared for Saturday’s Local Government Elections, confident to come out victorious.
The Chairman, APC Local Government Election Campaign Council, Sen. Ita Enang, said this at a news briefing in Uyo on Thursday.
According to him, APC is fully prepared and committed to winning the elections.
“Our party has a strong grassroots presence and we’ve worked tirelessly to ensure our candidates are well-equipped to serve the people.
“Our campaign strategy focuses on showcasing our achievements and promising continued development and progress for the state,” he said.
Enang, who doubles as the Chairman, APC Reconciliation Committee in the state, said their candidates would deliver on the manifesto and campaign promises, when elected.
He said that the party’s manifesto for the council areas prioritised improvement in infrastructure, upgrading of roads, healthcare facilities, and education infrastructure, among others.
He urged the Akwa Ibom State Independent Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) to be neutral and unbiased in the conduct of the elections.
“We hope AKISIEC will conduct a free, fair, and transparent electoral process on Saturday, October 5,” he said.
He urged all APC members and supporters as well as the electorate to go out en masse on Saturday and vote for the candidates of the party.
